EAGLES FIRST WIN AFTER DRAMATIC SHOOT OUT

Eagles started their cup campaign with a deserved win all be it after a nervous penalty shoot out. Once again Dan put himself between the sticks due to lack of keepers and comanded his area well. From the start Eagles had the better of the game creating the better chances but as games before couldn't find the finishing touch. Dan was tested with a few lob shots but Eagles held firm to go in at half time 0-0.

Second half change saw Charles don the gloves and from the kick off Eagles were all over Hill with Olly and Josh going close. Dan switching from goalie to striker had the better of the chances but was unable to finish with the best chance coming of the keepers legs from 6 yards out. Hill had chances of their own but 2 headers were placed straight at the home keeper. Extra time came and once again Eagles poured forward, after a corner and goal mouth scramble Eagles had Olly score his first of the season for Eagles to take a lead into the second half of Extra time, more chances came and went for Eagles to put the game beyond doubt but as the oppo made changes they got themself level with a break away goal sloted home from the left. With the last kick of the game Charles amde a smart save to his right to keep Eagles in the tie for a shoot out.

Both teams strolled up and converted their pens well until Hill's 3rd hit the cross bar and bounced out putting the home side through to the next round.
