The committee starts work on 2007-8 season

Your committee has already started preparing for next season. Our budget has been set, pre season training is being organised for 31st May and a list of dates for your diaries will be available soon.

Also, a newsletter will be sent to you in late june/early July (hopefully downloadable from this site) about the plans for next seasons social and more importantly the playing side.

Enjoy the next 2 months, then the hard work starts again.

AGM took place on Tuesday 15th May

The full AGM took place to sign off many years service by 3 of our committee- Chairman Roy, Treasurer- Darryl and Deputy Chairman- Geoff. A big thank you from the new committee and club for probably well over 75 years service to the club between them.

The 5X1 were the only highlight this season, gaining promotion. An excellent result going all the way to the last game of the season. Well done to Tom and the choir boys!

A new era now begins with the following people elected to the club committee:

Chairman - Jon Leese
Deputy Chairman - David Carlin
Club Secretary - Phil Robins
Treasurer - Chris Bicheno

The new committee will post updates on the site through the 'close' season to keep in touch as we want next year to be a more 'committed' season from all concerned.

We are still looking for training facilities for next season - pre season training will start the last Tuesday in July.

End of season dinner - Big success

The end of season dinner was supported by 62 club members at Ealing Golf Club.

After a few beers and a good 3 course meal, we settled down into the main event - the speaches.

Each Captain or a team representative made a short speach (well except for the vets captain!) all the speakers caused absolute up roar as the club sat laughing and crying at the hilarious anicdotes from the season.

Added to this Stevie Davies had to assist a number of Golf club members walk through the hall in the middle of the speaches (one of those - you had to be there for it to be funny moments!)

Neil O'Shea won the 'Heads and Tails' 100 now burning a hole in his pocket!

Player of the year trophy for each team were presented by our Club captain Gary Waterson, Club Player of the Year - Duncan Childs,Leading Goal scorer - Mark Haydn and Clubman of the year to Salil Das.

The night followed with around 25 of us in an Ealing club to the light hours of the morning.

A great night - don't miss it next year!
